NEW YORK, Dec 15 (Reuters) - Truck maker Navistar International Corp. , on Monday forecast a larger-than-expected loss for the first quarter of 2004 due to holiday production shutdowns that would weigh on operations.
Even though the company reaffirmed its previously lowered 2004 profit forecast of $2.02 a share, it said it anticipated a first-quarter loss of 40 cents to 50 cents a share, versus a year-earlier quarterly loss of $1.49.
