NEW YORK, Aug 3 (Reuters) - Navistar International Corp. said on Thursday there could be layoffs in 16 weeks at its heavy truck assembly plant in Chatham, Ontario.
The company said the potential layoffs would be due to an anticipated market decline because the truck industry was currently doing much of its buying ahead of stricter emissions regulations going into effect in January.
