New calls for US Treasury to help carmakers

WASHINGTON, Nov 9 (Reuters) - There were fresh calls on Sunday for the Bush administration to help stalled U.S. automakers, but Democratic and Republican officials said taxpayers cannot repeatedly support business rescues.
