MILAN, Nov 4 (Reuters) - A new version of the famed Vespa scooter helped Italy's Piaggio bounce to a net profit of 64.5 million euros ($77.8 million) in the first nine months of the year from a proforma loss of 64.7 million euros a year ago.
Piaggio, which also owns motorbike brands Aprilia and Moto Guzzi, posted nine-month revenues of 1.16 billion euros on Friday, up 5.9 percent on a year ago.
