New Wal-Mart poll finds more favorable attitudes

CHICAGO, Jan 4 (Reuters) - About 70 percent of Americans think Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is good for consumers, according to a poll released on Wednesday by a Wal-Mart-backed group of community leaders.

The poll, conducted by RT Strategies for the recently formed "Working Families for Wal-Mart" group, comes one month after one of Wal-Mart's most vocal critics released a Zogby International survey that found a majority thought Wal-Mart was bad for America.
