PARIS – The 6-speed automatic transmission from Aisin AW for front-wheel-drive cars rapidly is changing the face of the European market for automatics.
According to a report by U.K.-based AID Ltd., Aisin raised its share of the European automatic transmission market last year by three percentage points, to 18%, behind only Mercedes-Benz (28%) and ZF Friedrichshafen AG (25%).
