Sales of medium- and heavy-duty trucks hit 43,532 units in April, down 4.5% from the 47,429 units sold in like-1999 and the biggest drop in more than two years. The decrease in April pushed year-to-date deliveries just a tick (-0.1%) behind year-ago totals. But it is the first time in more than 24 months that year-to-date sales fell behind the previous year's tally.
