Ford Motor Co. announced Dec. 16 that it will convert its Blue Oval dealer certification program into a dealer recognition program in 2005. Until then, the program will remain unchanged, Ford Div. President Steve Lyons tells dealers in a satellite broadcast. On March 31, 2005, Ford will cancel the bonus payments of 1.25% of the sticker price for each vehicle sold, which it has been paying certified dealers since 2000.
