BMW AG is set to launch its first Rolls-Royce models at a facility on the Earl of March’s Goodwood estate in West Sussex, U.K., within the next eight weeks. The formal transfer of ownership of the Rolls-Royce brand from Volkswagen AG to BMW takes place Jan. 1, the same day the first vehicle is scheduled for delivery. So far BMW has received 2,000 job applications for the plant, which by year-end will employ 350 workers for the £60 million ($85.4 million) project.
