SAO PALUO – Vehicle sales in Brazil rose 30.3% in March over year-ago, according to the National Federation of Vehicle Distributors. Deliveries of new cars, vans, pickups, light, medium and heavy trucks and buses in the month totaled 353,734 units, a record for the industry. The sales increase partly was due to the end of the government’s tax discount on industrial products, which terminated March 31. March sales surpassed the previous record of 308,700 units in September 2009. ...
