Roger McCormack succeeds Craig Bierley as Buick product marketing director, General Motors Co. announces.

Since 2008, the 44-year-old McCormack had been Cadillac’s U.S. vehicle marketing director.

The move, effective immediately, makes McCormack responsible for brand marketing strategy and product planning for all Buick products. His first major challenge arrives later this spring with the launch of the ’11 Regal midsize sport sedan.

McCormack also has held positions at Hummer and Saab.

Bierley moves to director-advertisiing and sales promotion at Buick-GMC.
