October sales of medium- and heavy-duty trucks in Canada declined 4.0% on a daily rate basis to 3,561 units from year-ago’s 3,709. Heavy-duty (Class 8) deliveries totaled 2,505, up 2.6% from the 2,441 big rigs sold during like-2002. Freightliner Corp. recorded the biggest sales increase in the segment with deliveries up 18.7%.
