Chery Automobile Co. Ltd. is preparing to launch its A1 subcompact hatchback for export to North America in collaboration with Chrysler Group, China’s People’s Daily newspaper says. The two auto makers announced a proposed partnership in September, in which low-cost small cars built by Chery would be sold under Chrysler brands in North America and Western Europe.
