General Motors Corp.’s Chevrolet division says it will offer an Avalanche stripped of its exterior cladding for the ’03 model year as part of a special package. Production of the cladding-free Avalanche begins in first quarter 2003. GM says it plans to use a darker color cladding on Avalanche models without the special package.
