Chrysler Names Global Alliance Chief

Simon Boag will head up the operations side of Chrysler alliances aimed at expanding opportunities for global growth.

Chrysler LLC names Simon Boag to the newly created post of executive vice president-Global Alliance Operations.

Boag most recently held the position of executive vice president-procurement and supply.

In his new role, Boag will head up the operations side of Chrysler alliances aimed at expanding opportunities for global growth. Boag will report to Vice Chairman and President Tom LaSorda.

“As outlined in the company’s recovery and transformation plan, growth in markets outside of North America is critical to the success of Chrysler,” LaSorda says in a statement. “We are looking for new alliances and growth opportunities all over the world.”

In addition to the Boag appointment, Chrysler names John P. Campi executive vice president-procurement. Campi will be responsible for all worldwide purchasing and supplier quality activities. He also will report directly to LaSorda.
