The European Commission is looking at dropping Thailand-built pickups from its Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) this year, a move that could raise pricing for the trucks. Pickups assembled in Thailand and shipped to the European Union currently are tagged with a 6.5% tariff rate because of the GSP, down from the usual 10%.
