Ford Motor Co. calls back some 363,440 ’01-’03 Escape cross/utility vehicles due to possible engine problems. Escapes with 3L V-6 engines reportedly may stall during deceleration and at speeds below 40 mph (64 km/h). Some eight minor accidents involving three minor injuries have been reported in relation to the engine problem.
