Ford Motor Co. President and CEO Alan Mulally shakes up the auto maker’s executive ranks with the promotion of two top officers and the retirement of another.
John Parker is named executive vice president-Asia/Pacific and Africa, one of the company’s three core business units. Parker, 59, has been leading the region as group vice president, and will continue to oversee all of Ford’s operations and partnerships there, including Mazda Motor Corp.
Mike Bannister, chairman and CEO of Ford Motor Credit Co., assumes the title of executive vice president of Ford. In addition to his new responsibilities, Bannister, 57, will continue in his duties at Ford Motor Credit, the auto maker says.
Meanwhile, Francisco Codina, group vice president, North American marketing, sales and service, announces his retirement after 30 years of service. Codina’s retirement is effective Nov. 1 and a replacement currently is being sought, Ford says.
