VIENNA – Ford Motor Co. has taken over Romanian distribution of its vehicles from current importer Romcar S.R.L., effective Aug. 1. Through June, Ford sold 4,622 passenger cars in Romania, up 13.4% from like-2009, for an 8.7% market share. The Ford brand is ranked No.2 in car sales behind Dacia and ahead of Renault, VW, Skoda and Hyundai.
