GAZ Begins Serial Output of Sebring-Based Model

VIENNA – Serial production of the new Volga Siber sedan, a car based on the previous-generation Chrysler Sebring, is under way at the OOO Avtomobilny Zavod GAZ plant in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.

The Russian auto maker unveiled the Siber a year ago at the Moscow auto show. Pilot production followed in late March, and the official start of sales is scheduled for Sept. 1.
