VIENNA – ZAO GM-, the manufacturer of the Chevrolet Niva cross/utility vehicle based in Togliatti, Russia, names Jeffrey Glover as its new managing director, effective Dec.1.
Glover currently serves as director-new business development and planning,Russia in Moscow and will continue to perform his duties in addition to the new job in Togliatti.
Glover will replace John Hanson at GM-, who will be repatriating and assuming a new management role at GM’s North America International Product Center.
GM-AvtoVAZ is a joint venture betweenCo., Lada-manufacturer OAO AvtoVAZ and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The auto maker produced 14,917 vehicles in the year’s first nine months, down 66.2% from year-ago. It sold 16,255 vehicles through September, including 15,783 in Russia and 472 among countries belonging to the Commonwealth of Independent States.
