Highlander Gets Third Row Seats

Toyota Motor Corp. is working on a mid-model change to the Highlander cross/utility vehicle to accommodate third-row seating, Ward's has learned. A Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. official says the switch can be made without massive structural change. The 5-passenger cabin of Highlander offers 38.5 cu.-ft. (1 cu.-m) of cargo room behind the rear seat, and rear passengers have 36.4 ins. (92 cm) of legroom.
