Car production in Hungary fell 10.9% in 2003 to 123,112 vehicles, a result of a sharp decline at Audi Hungaria Motor Kft. Magyar Suzuki Rt. bucked the trend, producing 89,215 cars last year, a 5.4% increase from 2002. Suzuki Wagon R+ accounted for 39,418 units, and Magyar Suzuki produced 32,164 units of the new Ignis model launched in April 2003.
