Nissan Motor Co. Ltd.’s Infiniti luxury brand says it will detail plans to launch sales in Western Europe later this month.

The auto maker also will roll out its new FX cross/utility vehicle at the Geneva auto show in early March.

Infiniti on Feb. 25 will layout its sales strategy for individual European markets, name partner companies and provide details of a customer-service initiative called “Total Ownership Experience.”

It also will release details about the three models in addition to the FX it will sell in Europe. These include the G sedan and coupe, and EX small CUV, all powered by V-6 engines, Infiniti says.

Mark McNabb, senior vice president of Nissan North America, who is overseeing Infiniti’s global rollout, told Ward’s last month diesel mills for the models would not be available initially.

“We will be without a diesel – it’s not been specified for how long – but we will not start with a diesel in Europe, and we’ve built that into the plan. So we’re not looking for hugely robust business in the first year, year-and-a-half,” he said.

The debut of the new FX will take place March 4 in Geneva, with Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn present for the unveiling, Infiniti says.

Sales of Infiniti models will begin in Europe in October.
