Isuzu Motors America Inc. says it will add two models to its i-Series compact pickup truck lineup.

The i-370 4x2 Extended Cab and i-370 4x2 Crew Cab will go into production in October. The former marks the first time Isuzu will offer a 5-cyl. engine in combination with an extended-cab body style.

“Some of our customers have said they needed the room of a crew cab but without the off-highway capability of 4-wheel drive,” says J. Terry Maloney, IMA president and CEO. “And some of our customers have asked for the extra power of a 5-cyl. engine in the versatile extended-cab body style.”

Various packages will be available for both models, including a Luxury package that adds AM/FM stereo with 6-disc in-dash CD changer, electronic traction control and limited slip differential (Extended Cab).

A Limited package offers the same features plus leather seating, 8-way-power heated driver’s seat and 6-way power-heated front passenger seat for the Crew Cab trim.

Isuzu says pricing for the two models will be announced shortly.
