LaNeve Looks to Industry Revival in Second Half

WASHINGTON —The auto industry’s 18-month-long sales drought will end in the year’s second half, predicts Mark LaNeve, General Motors Corp.’s North America sales and marketing chief.

The last big month for the (auto) industry was July 2006, he says at the annual Washington auto show here. “We think it will pull out of the recession in the second half of this year.”
