DEARBORN, MI – General Motors Corp. Vice Chairman Bob Lutz calls a recent test drive of the Chevrolet Volt “encouraging” and says the auto maker has determined which battery supplier has won a contract for the extended-range electrical vehicle.
“There’s almost no reasonable doubt in our minds anymore that this is going to work,” Lutz tells journalists here Monday, just hours after his latest test drive of the Volt at GM’s nearby proving grounds.
