Malaysia Ends Limits on ASEAN Imports

The Malaysian government says it no longer will limit the number of imported vehicles from Association of Southeast Asian Nations members, in line with its commitment to the Common Effective Preferential Tariff under the ASEAN free-trade agreement.

Previously, the country only allowed up to 10% of all vehicles in Malaysia to be imported under an approved permit (AP) system.
