Sales of medium- and heavy-duty trucks in the U.S. improved in May from April, but volume still fell 45.5% below year-ago. Total deliveries reached 14,508 units, down from 27,661 in May 2008, Ward’s data shows. As was the case with April, the decline in medium-duty truck sales was steeper than that for Class 8.
