New Tundra Begins at $22,290

Tundra’s base price is higher than the new ’07 Chevy Silverado ($18,760) and ’07 Ford F-150 ($19,200), but not as high as the Nissan Titan ($23,700).

Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. says the new ’07 Tundra will start at $22,290 for a Regular Cab 2-wheel-drive model with base 4.0L V-6 engine mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission.

The same truck with a long bed is $22,620.

Tundra’s base price is higher than the all-new ’07 Chevy Silverado ($18,760) and ’07 Ford F-150 ($19,200) but not as high as the ’07 Nissan Titan ($23,700). All prices do not include taxes or fees.

A Regular Cab Tundra tops out at $27,770 for a 4-wheel-drive long-bed model with Toyota’s new 5.7L V-8 and 6-speed automatic transmission.

The Tundra Double Cab, which Toyota expects to be the top-selling trim, begins at $26,105 for a 2WD SR5 trim with 4.0L V-6 and 5-speed automatic and tops out at $38,550 for a Limited trim with 5.7L V-8 and 6-speed automatic.

The new Tundra CrewMax, with proportions rivaling Dodge’s Ram MegaCab, begins at $29,675 for 2WD SR5 model with a 4.7L V-8, a carryover from the previous Tundra, mated to a 5-speed automatic gearbox.

A 4WD CrewMax Limited with 5.7L V-8 and 6-speed automatic is $41,850.

Regular Cab and Double Cab Tundras arrive in Toyota dealerships in the U.S. mid-February, while the Tundra CrewMax is available in March. Destination and handling for all ’07 Tundras is $645.
