The National Highway Traffic Safety Admin. has opened an investigation into tire failures and front-suspension problems on the Australian-built ’04-’06 Pontiac GTO sold in the U.S. from 2004-2006. The GTO was manufactured by General Motors Corp. subsidiary GM Holden Ltd. in Australia based on the Holden Monaro platform.
