Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. President Carlos Ghosn says his company is preparing an all-new fullsize pickup that will be powered by an all-new V-8 engine. Mr. Ghosn promises that 10 new products are being readied for U.S. introduction, including two midsize sedans, one flagship sedan and one small sport/utility vehicle, in addition to the new truck platform. Sources say the truck will be offered in the 2003 time frame and is likely to be built in the U.S. or Mexico. The bustling North American truck market, of course, is too good for Nissan to ignore, and the company says Europe looks attractive as well.
