The just concluded 13-day Tokyo Motor Show attracted 614,400 visitors, down 56.9% from the 2007 show's 1,425,800 attendance. The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Assn., which organizes the biennial event, attributes the falloff to the event being four days shorter than in 2007 and the reduction in the number of exhibits from foreign car manufacturers to three brands.
