VIENNA – Shipment of Russian-made Renault cars to Ukraine will get under way this month.

Renault will export Logan sedans and Sandero hatchbacks manufactured at its Avtoframos joint venture plant in Moscow to the Ukrainian market.

Kiev-based importer Renault Ukraina will source Logan and Sandero cars powered by gasoline engines from Russia, while it will continue to import cars equipped with diesel and gas engines from the Automobile Dacia plant in Romania.

In 2010, Renault sold 3,123 Logans and 838 Sanderos in Ukraine.

Ukraine is the third export market for Renault’s Moscow-plant. The auto maker already launched exports to Kazakhstan in January 2010, and to Belarus last October.
