One casualty of the lagging sports car market is the Dodge Stealth, built byMotors Corp. for Corp. The U.S. automaker expects to discontinue the Mitsubishi 300OGT twin after a limited run in 1996. A yen/dollar exchange rate resulting in a higher price than consumers are willing to pay and the emergence of the Viper as Dodge Div's image machine are among reasons for Stealth's demise. A Mitsubishi insider, however, hints that the Stealth may not die. He says Chrysler's Stealth contract with the Japanese automaker runs through 1998.
