Dana Corp. says it has developed a lightweight, cylinder-head-cover module for Chrysler Group’s 3.7L V-6 engine that powers the Jeep Liberty and Dodge Dakota, Ram and Durango. The module, similar to one Dana launched a year ago for Chrysler’s 4.7L engine, results in a weight savings of 4 lb. (1.8 kg) per engine, while improving noise, vibration and harshness characteristics and providing better sealing performance, Dana says.
