Thailand’s continuing political unrest and a faltering economy contributed to a 13.0% decline in new-vehicle sales in August to 47,130 units.
The important 1-ton pickup-truck segment fell 28.6% to 24,739 units from year-ago, pushing total commercial-vehicle deliveries down 25.7% to 29,139, reports Toyota Motor Thailand Co. Ltd., which compiles sales data for the industry.
