Thai new-vehicle sales in September slipped 10.5% to 47,881 units from prior-year's 53,491, as political and economic uncertainty closed in on all fronts.
New-car sales jumped 19.1% to 18,687 units from year-ago, but commercial-vehicle deliveries fell 22.8% to 29,194, says Toyota Motor Thailand Co. Ltd., which compiles sales data for the industry.
Sales of 1-ton pickup trucks dropped 24.2% to 24,781 units vs. year-ago.
