Toyota Motor Corp. Australia Ltd. this month exports its 500,000th vehicle to Saudi Arabia in the form of a Camry sedan. The car was shipped from the auto maker’s Altona plant near Melbourne, which in addition to the sedan builds the Hybrid Camry and V-6 Aurion for domestic and export markets. Toyota Australia Executive Director Chris Harrod says the auto maker began exporting vehicles to the Middle East in 1996, and since then more than 870,000 Altona-made vehicles have been shipped. ...
