Toyota Increases Capacity of China Stamping Die Partner

Toyota Motor Corp.’s Toyota FAW (Tianjin) Dies Co. Ltd. (TFTD) joint venture with China FAW Group Corp. doubles production capacity of stamping dies at its Tianjin, China, location from three vehicle applications a year to six.

In addition, TFTD commences production for export, marking the first ever export of Toyota automotive stamping dies made outside of Japan.

Toyota says TFTD, which has supplied Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor Co. Ltd. and Tianjin FAW Xiali Automobile Co. Ltd. with dies since its formation in 2004, now will serve as a global production base of stamping dies for Toyota Motor Mfg. (U.K.) Ltd. and Toyota Motor Mfg. Turkey Inc.
