Toyota Motor Corp. will be showing the production version of the Yaris TS sport hatchback at the upcoming Paris auto show in late September.

Set to go on sale in Europe early next year, the Yaris TS has an all-new 1.8L 4-cyl. engine with intelligent dual variable valve timing, making 132 hp and reaching a top speed of 121 mph. The car also features a sport-tuned suspension and appearance changes.

Also on Toyota’s Paris stand will be the refreshed Hilux compact pickup truck, featuring new 2.5L and 3L diesel engines. The former is upgraded to 120 hp and 240 lb.-ft. (325 Nm) of torque.

The Hilux goes on sale in fourth-quarter 2006 in Europe.

Additionally, the new ’07 Avensis compact car will be on display in Paris, featuring an upgraded interior and “significant suspension and steering tuning” for improved ride and handling, Toyota says. The Avensis also gets a new 2L diesel engine for ’07.
