U.S./Canada new vehicle exports increased 22.2% in April, the latest month that data is available. Exports, including shipments from medium- and heavy-duty manufacturers, totaled 42,935 during the month, compared to 32,815 in like-1999. The year-to-date total through April stands at 178,043, 22.1% above year-ago's 145,761.
