VW Sarajevo to Build EcoCarrier Electric Vehicle

VIENNA – Volkswagen Sarajevo d.o.o. will launch production of the EcoCarrier, a small electric light-utility vehicle, in January.

The plant, based in the capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina, will act as contract manufacturer for Germany’s EcoCraft Automotive GmbH & Co. KG. Plans call for production of 600 units in 2009.
