Ukrainian auto maker ZAO ZAZ will begin complete knocked-down assembly of the second-generation Opel Astra at its plant in Zaporoshje this month. ZAO ZAZ, which signed an agreement in March 2003 with General Motors Corp.’s Adam Opel AG German subsidiary to import, assemble, distribute and service select Opel vehicles, added a new assembly line to its plant to accommodate Astra output.
