Audi's roadster gets nod

Getting the nod for production is Audi AG's TTS roadster concept that bowed in Tokyo. Both the TTS and its TT coupe sibling are based on the Audi A3 hatchback set to debut next year. The TT will go into production as early as late-1997, with the TTS to follow. The coupe will be sold in both front- and four-wheel-drive forms. Price is targeted at close to $28,400 (DM40,000) in Germany.
