The Chevrolet Beat concept will join the Trax as part of a trio of minicars General Motors Corp. will unveil at the New York auto show today.

The third model in the set has yet to be revealed.

The 1L cars were designed by GM’s studio in Incheon, South Korea, and are based on the auto maker’s global mini architecture engineered by GM Daewoo Auto & Technology Co. But the two cars are uniquely styled. The Beat is a 3-door hatchback and features dramatically cut headlamps that rise up toward the windshield, while the Trax is a 5-door cross/utility vehicle with rounded lamps and Chevrolet’s signature grille.

Following today’s unveiling of the three cars, the public can vote on their favorites at vote4chevrolet.com. Chevrolet says it will use the balloting to determine whether to sell any of the vehicles in the U.S.
