Sales of medium- and heavy-duty trucks fell 13.8% in the U.S. in December, the year’s second-best performance behind November’s 7% slide. Nevertheless, steep declines early in the year meant big trucks relinquished 33.1% of their volume, with 199,686 unit sales compared with prior-year’s 298,424.
