BMW of North America LLC appoints Peter Miles to executive vice president-operations, effective Sept. 1.
Miles, 47, replaces Howard Mosher, who retired earlier this year. In his new position, Miles will be responsible for all BMW sales operations and dealer relations within the U.S.
He will report directly to BMW North America President Jim O’Donnell.
“This position is vitally important to our implementing the right revenue enhancing actions that help maintain our retail network’s strong market position in light of the dynamic change the U.S. automobile business is experiencing,” O’Donnell says in a statement. “Peter’s background and skills are an important part of our success in this work.”
Miles most recently served as vice president of BMW’s central sales region in Chicago. His long automotive career includes stints at Ford Motor Co., Land Rover and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars North America.
