Chrysler gears up for new minivan

About 625 hourly workers at Chrysler is St. Louis North minivan plant are on temporary layoff as that facility is converted to build the T300 full-size pickup beginning in August. Mininvan production moves to the St. Louis South plant, which currently is building the '96 minivans on one 8-hour shift a day (see related story p.61). it will slowly ramp up to two shifts. Serious production is not expected
