A dealer-controlled website is rolling out in the first quarter across the U.S. from its Denver base. The site is www.driveoff.com.

Charter subscribers for the Internet Auto Dealers Marketing Association, headquartered in Englewood, CO, are:

Burt Automotive Group, Denver; V.T. Inc. (Van Tuyl), Shawnee Mission, KS; the Utah-based Larry Miller dealerships; Lund Cadillac, Phoenix; and Arizona's Chapman and Earnhardt networks.

IADMA Executive Director Rodney J. Couts says the website had been cleared under Texas's anti-broker law and members had selected five directors.

He says, "Under our concept dealers control the sales process, setting prices for vehicles configured by consumers. Member dealers pay $250 deposits and like the concept because they are directly involved in the sales process throughout."

IADMA directors include Jim Buerge, West Los Angeles Ford; Scott Marino, Toyota of Huntington Beach, CA; Ray Reilly, Liberty Toyota North, Colorado Springs; Mark Soukup, Hempstead (NY) Lincoln Mercury; and Tim Mort, Pinnacle Nissan/Infiniti, Phoenix.
